What is EVO ICL?

Our team of experienced eye doctors is excited to offer the EVO ICL lens (EVO). This advanced vision correction procedure is an EVOlution in visual freedom.

EVO ICL is a clinically proven Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) designed to correct nearsightedness with and without astigmatism. Made from Collamer, a biocompatible material, the EVO lens is small and flexible, helping the eye focus light properly onto the retina to create clear distance vision.

How is EVO ICL Different from Laser Vision Procedures?

EVO ICL differs from other laser vision correction surgeries in several ways:

• Preservation of Natural Tissues: Since no corneal tissue is removed, unlike with LASIK, the natural structure of the eye remains largely unchanged with EVO ICL.
• Removable: EVO ICL can be removed by an eye surgeon, although it is designed for permanent vision correction.
• Ideal for Various Candidates: EVO ICL may be an option for individuals who are not eligible for procedures like LASIK due to thin corneas, dry eye concerns, or high levels of myopia. Anyone –3.00 to –18.00 and beyond can consider ICL as an alternative to LASIK, even if you are a LASIK candidate.
• Future Flexibility. Does not affect IOL choice once the patient is of cataract age. Some patients prefer the long-term benefits and flexibility of ICL being that it’s easily removed at the time of cataract surgery, and it won’t limit your lens replacement choice during cataract surgery.
