    • Lasek & PRK

    Lasek & PRK are similar to LASIK, except for a tissue flap is not created.

    This treatment takes place on the surface of the eye after removing an outer layer of cells. Both LASEK and PRK are suitable for those people whose corneas which are too thin or too curved to be an ideal candidate for traditional LASIK. Also, with both LASEK and PRK, healing time is slightly longer than with LASIK, and good vision is achieved in about five to eight days.

    Lasek & PRK can still correct conditions related to nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia) and astigmatism.
